Growing up in Idaho, I’ve enjoyed nature and the outdoors since childhood. After going to college in the Midwest, I started my engineering career near Seattle, Washington, where I instantly fell in love with the Pacific Northwest landscape. The beautiful scenery of the Cascade Mountains, Olympic Peninsula, and Puget Sound region, inspired me to pick up photography as one of my many hobbies and I began spending most of my weekends exploring the northwest wilderness. A few years later, my job gave me an opportunity to work in China for several months, which allowed me to experience other cultures and landscapes, and fueled my desire for further travel.

The more I travel and the more I experience, the more amazed I become at the incredible diversity and sheer beauty of this world. Each country is unique and the variety of environments, wildlife, and human culture is overwhelming. I believe this is the work of a god who is infinitely creative and passionate about the world he created. For me, photography is an attempt to capture God's beautiful artwork and display it for others to enjoy. I created Exploring His World to share with you some of my favorite moments and experiences along my journery to explore the world and learn more about its creator.
